Apologies — I initially forgot to calculate FCF and mistakenly assumed it was zero. 🤦 Free cash flow for Q1 was $756.93M, with an FCF margin of 15.6%, up +3.8pp YoY. Sea doesn't include free cash flow in their press release.
Yes, formula is correct: FCF = Operating Cash Flow – Capital Expenditures. Since they didn’t provide CAPEX details, the $756.93M figure technically reflects operating cash flow. According to Finchat, actual FCF for Q1 was –$31.1M.
That's a great question. I use Excel for building tables, charts, and one-pagers on companies — it offers nearly unlimited flexibility in formatting. I started building these back in 2020, before tools like Finchat were available. While Finchat is highly functional today, I still rely on Excel for certain KPIs they don’t provide and for creating custom charts that combine different metrics in any format I need.

Question - how did you calculate FCF? They did not break out Cash Flow from Investing activities (to subtract out capex)

Technically $756.93M is Operating Cash Flow. Doesn't FCF require you to know if they had any Capex (from Investments)?

Actually I have another related question, what do you use to make your custom charts (they look great btw)? Curious why you prefer that over Finchat?

Ah I don’t use finchat I try to get it directly from filings (which they don’t have yet). Guess finchat is even faster.
